I want to wish all of you mothers, and women who mother, a very happy Mother’s Day! I hope you were honored for your good, mothering qualities that we as women are given.
A new card is at the end of this post, but I just had to share this card from my son. He’s 14 and made this in church today. On the front, he feels he has to point out that he drew a flower…not that it looks like a cat or anything!
Inside, a nice sentiment, then what cracks me up is that “obviously” with an arrow pointing to his name!
The back is my favorite as he shows his wit and attention to details, such as his initials, along with the “A Dallin card”. Too cute! And then did you notice the price w/ bar code on the bottom? A very expensive card at just under $1 billion! I’m glad he thinks I’m worth it! Best Mother’s Day card I think I’ve ever received! Thanks, kiddo!
Here’s a card I made for my upcoming workshop. I just love that you can make patterned paper with stamps with any colors you want to suit your needs. Super simple, but then again that’s what you want when you are teaching someone for the first time how to stamp, or when you are in a hurry, or when you need to make a bunch! Instead of stamping a sentiment in white ink and embossing with white embossing powder, I decided to keep it simple and use a rub-on. The Chit Chat rub-ons are great because they offer not only a huge variety of sentiments, but they also come in white and chocolate chip.
Thank you all so much for stopping by today!
{Congrats Grad ingredients}
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Not Quite Navy Textured, Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White card stock
Ink: Basic Gray, Not Quite Navy & Kiwi Kiss
Accessories: Eyelet Border punch, Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain ribbon, Chit Chat rub-ons

Happy Mother’s Day Jackie!! That card from Dallin is sooo cute & most of all very touching. He’s got it down, the signature on the back et all! I can see he’s been well trained. I’ve heard from 2 of my 3 & I’m sure he’ll be calling soon. Love the grad card – BEAUTIFUL – and as you said a great card for a lesson. Sorry I didn’t comment yesterday but I love your new header. That maple or whatever it is is so nice. In the desert where I live, we cannot grow such neat trees – wish we could. I love those liquid ambers! the colors are amazing – also the maples! I have my aleppo pines & beautiful olive tree! Have a wonderful day!

Dallin’s card brought tears to my eyes and a great big grin to my face. What a sweet thing for a teenaged boy to do! That is not usually when they are at their most sensitive!
Your card is stunning. Don’t tell me how easy it was to make, it looks like you had to slave over it!
Hope your Mothers Day was relaxing and enjoyable.
