Oh so grateful

This card is for all my sweet customers, whether you’ve ordered one time, or bunches of times! I appreciate each and every order so very much. This is the last card I made for one of you!

I had my Silhouette machine out for project for my sister, and decided to make a quick card with it today. This particular design cuts and scores the card. All I did was put some long retired SU! paper behind the front of the card to simulate a wooden bench. I then heat embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder. The second photo shows the pretty embossing better. All items used are retired. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Don’t forget you have just over a month to pick up some pretty sweet, free items when you place a qualifying order – starting at just $50 in product! Click here to see the Sale-a-Bration brochure, and here to see the supplemental one. Then click my SHOP NOW button here, or on the right sidebar to get shopping! I can hardly wait to get my new Springtime Foils Specialty DSP found in this one to arrive!

When I was looking for a Valentine’s Day card to make for my son, I knew this card was the one! My son loves the bright green color, otherwise known as In Color Lemon Lime Twist. And his favorite color with it is black. The Bermuda Bay color added to these two make a winning combination!

I did not have the same heart dies fellow demonstrator Mary used (in Product List below), so I improvised, using the retired Hearts Framelits for the 2 smaller hearts, and freehanded the taller one. I used the Timeless Textures stamp set to stamp the grungy grid stamp a few times for a pattern. But it didn’t have enough color, so I used my Bermuda Bay marker to fill in some of the squares, to get the checkerboard look.

You can earn the stamp set and/or die set I used with a qualifying order by 3/31/18, during SAB, or Sale-a-Bration. Click here to view the catalog, which includes many other items to choose for free.

And can I just sing the praises of Stampin’ Up! for a minute, to say Hallelujah for bringing us a thick white card stock?! THANK YOU! I love this card stock for all my card bases that are white. There is even a Very Vanilla version – woohoo!

I created this card awhile back – I really like that retired SU! paper. I often create cards to showcase pretty paper, and this is a layout that does just that.

And of course, like my last post, I coordinated the card and envelope, by adding a liner to the envelope, using another paper from the DSP (Designer Series Paper) pack. I used a retired envelope liner die, but you could easily make one yourself. I used to do it All.The.Time!

This is going out to my son, far away at college. I want him to embrace this time in his life and have fun.

Now don’t forget, this is the Most Wonderful Time of The SU! Year! See what you can earn for free, when placing a qualifying order through March 31, 2018 by clicking THIS LINK.

Make it personal

Whenever I send a card, or note – I always try to personalize it. I want the recipient to know I put some thought in to what I’m sending. One of my favorite ways to do that, is to personalize the envelope as well. I usually try to use the same stamp on the outside as one of the ones on the card/note. I feel like when the envelope has a tad of excitement or intrigue, the recipient looks forward to opening it. It only take a second or two to add a little something to your envelopes.

Free is AMAZING!

Two items from this card were FREE! I instantly fell in love with the Amazing You stamp set and coordinating Celebrate You Thinlits dies in the 2018 SAB (Sale-a-Bration) catalog! I was thrilled that this year SU! offered dies. For $100 in ordered product, I got this die set for free, and for another $50 in ordered product, I got the coordinating stamp set, Amazing You, for free.

I tried a super simple background by sponging 4 different ink colors onto Whisper White card stock using the Sponge Brayers. That’s all I did, and I quite like the effect. The color combinations are endless.

Oh boy, I’ve got the flu, so unfortunately yesterday I just couldn’t get this blog post ready in time. So sorry!

Anyway, here is a card, using several items from the new Occasions Catalog. The Petal Palette stamp set, coordinating dies, and gorgeous designer series paper, were very first on my list! Here is a video on the entire suite.

I added some washi tape and linen thread to this very easy card.

I’m sorry about that – I hit “publish” rather than preview…that’s a first!

Anyway, here is the quick anniversary card I made this year. My husband loves cardinals so this seemed to make him happy 🙂

Stop back by in a couple of days for a card from the NEW Occasions catalog!
