When you mess up

I made this little box of flowers for someone whom I had inadvertently inconvenienced. It wasn’t a really big deal, but thought it would be appropriate to show her I was aware of what I did. I think it was very well received!

I got the tutorial from this blog post and it was really quite easy. I didn’t have a pre-made box, so used the retired Gift Box Punch Board and Shine On DSP, tweaking it a bit for my purpose. I had several small flower punches and utilized some Pumpkin Pie & Pineapple Punch DSP to make the flowers, and cut random strips of Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the stems. The box measures 1.75″ x 1.75″. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Tropical thanks

The first bundle I purchased from the new catalog was the Tropical Escape Suite. I don’t usually gravitate towards flamingos or palm trees, but I loved the leaves in this suite! And the paper is great – I love the two new greens in that paper pack, although I only used the black & white pattern for this card, I did stamp the leaves in those colors.

Updated baby card…times 2!

For the first time, I needed a baby card for TWINS – 2 boys! So exciting! I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel, because I had procrastinated and needed that card done in one night. I came across this blog post of mine from 2010 with a card I could easily turn into one for 2 babies. The card measures 4″ x 4″.

Everything except glue, stampin’ dimensionals, and the big shot are retired items. I also used vintage sheet music. Anyway, it was just easier for me to do it this way. If you do have any questions, please let me know!

Blueberries, Pineapples, & Grapefruits

 

Haha, it wasn’t until I was looking for a post title that I discovered each of the 3 new In Colors I used on these cards was named after a fruit! These were really quick to make, and I think I’ll make some more in other colors as well.

These cards measure 3 1/2″ x 5″, except for 1 of them, which measures 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. That was a mistake, but it turned out just fine.

Now I’m hungry for some fruit!
