Edited to correct myself: I mistakenly said the Something to Celebrate stamp set was in the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalog, but in fact it is available to earn as a Level 2 Hostess set in the Occasions Mini – DOH!
What a fantastic time I had at Leadership here in Nashville! I was among those who won the first prize giveaway…woohoo! My prize was the best of the entire conference, if I do say so myself! I won a package of the Springtime Vintage DSP, the Easter Blossoms stamp set, and the best prize of all – a handmade card by Shelli Gardner (co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!)!!! It’s signed by her on the back and has a matching envelope. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS, which one would expect. I cannot tell you how excited I was to receive it – what a treasure! I’ll be posting that next time.
I used the Springtime Vintage DSP here on this card. I just love it! The sentiment is from the Something to Celebrate stamp set, which is a Level 2 Hostess set in the Occasions Mini. All of the demonstrators were given this stamp set – how wonderful! It came with a portion (extra-wide fat quarter) of the Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric, which you see I used a little strip of.
Jackie’s tip: When adhering fabric, use a glue stick – it works great.
I made this card from a scrap of Crumb Cake I had, which started out 2 1/2″ x 12″, tried something which didn’t work, cut that off, folded it in half and scalloped both ends. The end result is a card that’s 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. I often make odd sized cards using scraps, lol!
Here are a couple of photos of some blogging friends of mine who I got to meet for the very first time, both named Dawn. I was happy to get to meet Dawn Olchefske – she was one of the presenters. She talked about Social Media, and how it can play a part in our Stampin’ Up! business. It was awesome!
And here’s Dawn Derrick and me – we have wanted to meet for quite some time, and I’m so happy that we just happened to be a table apart when I recognized her. She’s such a sweetie!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Things are going a little slow for me right now but I’ve got a good outlook for the future! Tonight I tried making a B’ Day card for one of my grand daughters. It was interestimg to say the least. Robert helped alot. I decided it’s a color your own card! Glad you’re home – anxious to see Shellie’s awesome card.
