No stamping today here, folks…but wanted to share something with you, since it’s been so long. I made these altered 6″ clothespins for a wonderful antique shop not too far from me in Nolensville, called Roses and Rustics. My daughter and I happened up on this shop when antiquing one day. It’s a terrific place to find really nice vintage items and we had a great time checking it out. Just as good as the “goods”, is the owner – Jane! She chatted with us like old friends and it left such an impression with me that I’ve been back several times. One thing led to another and she let me make these items for her store. She really has an eye for what she’s doing and what will sell in her store, as she went straight for that paper with the old school kids photo to give me for the project.
I stained the clothespins darker (they come very blonde) and sealed them with Modge Podge after applying the paper. I had fun making these “old” things, which can be used for anything from displaying photos to recipes, to notes and more.
