My son doesn’t really like this card, because he thinks it’s unrealistic that there would be cherry blossoms in front of the Eiffel Tower. But like my husband said, “They have spring in France, too”. So there. I saw the basic concept from another stamp company and recreated it for this card. I really wanted the flowering branch to have dimension, so what I did was to ink up the entire image in Blushing Bride, then with a Regal Rose marker, ink inside each blossom, then using the Chocolate Chip marker, inked up each branch, then stamped. I can’t believe it came out exactly as I’d imagined. The word “mother” is from the “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp and was inked with a marker and then stamped.
I just love that Stampin’ Up! has every coordinating item one can imagine. From ink, to card stock, to markers, to ribbon and patterned paper and MORE. It’s one of the things I love about SU! You can’t go into one of the “big box” stores and find that many items that match exactly.
This card is slightly shorter than a standard card – it measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/8″. The photo does not do this card justice – I have no idea why the grass below the Eiffel Tower is brownish in this pic – gee whiz! Thanks for stopping by today…sayonara & au revoir!

Jackie,
This is beautiful. I’m sure they have blossoming branches in Paris. I wish I had been there in the spring to know for sure! ( – ;
I love the colors you did here and the mother & love sentiments attached with a safety pin are great. It really adds a lot to an already gorgeous card.
