A group of ladies are getting together at a local Dessert Deli (It’s Ladies Night on Thursdays – buy one chocolate dessert, get one free!!) for a card swap. The theme is baby girl, and I fell in love with this card and knew it would be perfect for the swap. Please excuse the photo, I’m not sure quite how to get the focus all over, rather than in one spot, and I obviously don’t take the time to figure it out!
Anyway, I will be using up retired patterned paper for the swap; this one is Groovy Guava Patterns and I’ve used the same color of ribbon. This card is 3″ x 6″ and will fit in the small open ended envelopes.
It’s almost impossible to see in the photo, but the moon looks textured because I stamped it with the Canvas Background stamp in the same color ink.
Thank you for stopping by today! I can’t wait to see all the lovely cards I know I’ll come home with!
{welcome little one ingredients}
Stamps: Nursery Necessities, Owl Together Now, Canvas background stamp (retired)
Paper: Whisper White & Barely Banana card stock, Groovy Guava Patterns DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Barely Banana, various re-inkers
Accessories: Aquapainter, Groovy Guava stitched ribbon (retired), Button Latte, white scrappers floss, Birds & Blooms sizzlit die & Big Shot by Sizzix, paper piercer, mat pack, white signo gel pen, coluzzle (to make moon), vintage book print, stampin’ dimentionals
What a sweet card. Okay, you’ve convinced me to have old books on hand. I just love the flower and have everytime you’ve used it on a card. I’m going to Canton (being from OK, I’m sure you’ve heard of it) later this year. Mission #1: find old books. Thanks for sharing.

This is amazing!
I want to CASE this (my brother is expecting any day now) but without a cute little owl I don’t know what I could put under the moon (I have a shortage of critter stamps!)
This card is perfect!

Very cute card. I love the 3 x 6 cards and your big moon is great. Nice use of the paper, the owl the vintage book flower; all together makes a lovely baby card. You always come up with the neatest unusual creations.

Ah, Jackie. You did it again! This card is too cute for words. And how I miss groovy guava. I really, really like the text paper you used for the flower. I keep forgetting about that technique but I might just case you one of these days 🙂
