Ok, I made a couple of cards with my Blossoms & Basics chipboard. Why do I hoard this stuff? Now I have a ton of it, so guess what we will be doing at Stamp Club this week…! And it’s on special this month, too! Please see this post for more information.
I found this simple layout from Kristina’s gallery at SCS (starofmay) and used that as my springboard. I have a ton of So Saffron card stock left over from those Easter Treat boxes I made so I wanted to use some of that. I also used the Flower Fusion felt flowers on the 2nd card since I hoard those, too!
On the first card, that little chipboard square with the flower has the petals that pop out. I traced that onto my printed paper and cut it out with the Hobby Blade (this item is free with the purchase of the craft mat this month!). I also found out something very interesting, although I don’t have a picture of it. In that same package of chipboard there’s a square with a star in the middle of it (just like the petals in the first card) and I discovered that you can use the small star punch and punch out your patterned paper, then line up the chipboard square over it, trace around the square and only have to cut that out! You don’t have to cut out the star! Too cool! I don’t know, maybe someone has already discovered that, but it was a true find for me!
I sanded all the edges and used Stampin’ Dimentionals to adhere the mat to the card. The scalloped edges were done with the 3/16″ corner rounder punch, guard removed. Cards measure 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. Thanks for stopping by! Won’t you please say, “hi!”?
Ohhhh…sweetness! LOVE these darling little creations! They are just heartwarming!
