Happy New Year, everyone!
Here’s a quick little idea for a card to wish luck to that special someone. I used the new Hearts a Flutter Framelit die in the shape of a flag or banner on this one, available on Jan. 3rd in the new Spring Catalog. It really makes it easy to get the sentiment right where you want it by stamping first, then cutting out with the framelit. The other new item you’ll see is the Silver Designer Button – love these! They come in 2 sizes; the one on the card here is the smaller one. You can’t really tell from this photo, but there is a brushed finish to the middle of each button – what great texture!
I like to make coordinating envelopes using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. It couldn’t be easier – for a 3″ x 3″ card, cut your paper to 6″ square and score at 2 3/4″ on all sides, using the diagonal plate and stylus. I use the Tombo Multipurpose glue, applying very lightly on the edge of the flap and let it dry. Then when you fold it down it sticks, but not permanently. Since you can’t mail this size envelope anyway, it’s a good way to go so the recipient can open and close it easily.
May 2013 bring you lots of luck and tons of happiness! Don’t forget to come back on Jan. 3rd for links to the new Spring Catalog! Thanks for stopping by today!
