I’ve been pretty busy with some projects that I’m hoping will help me get back in the groove of things, LOL! Here is one of them I made, which layout I totally CASEd from this card. I wanted a bit more color, yet still have it be unisex. Besides cutting out the typewriter, this card really lends itself to making multiples of…which some of you, my dear customers, just may see a version of in your mailbox soon (thank you for your orders!). I used some vintage dictionary paper, as I felt the typed print ties in with the uh, typewriter!
Tip: you do have to be careful when using book print to check the words to make sure there aren’t any that are inappropriate. Trust me, it happens! The first one I made up for this card was innocent enough, except the definition of the word “abnormal” gave an example of an “abnormal child”. That’s because the dictionary is from 1960 and there was no such thing as political incorrectness back then. And another time I used a different dictionary and almost used a page with the word “ovary” on it! Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but you know – it’s just ODD!
This stamp set, You’re My Type is from the Occasions Mini catalog and will no longer be available after April 30th. I sure like it, as it has 6 sentiments that fit into the paper on the typewriter – how adorable is that! I hope it makes it in the new catalog coming out on June 1st, but you never know. Ok, that’s all for today, but I do have more projects to show you so stop back by later this week! Tah!

Got a chuckle out of this one. But very good point…:) I have this set and just love it. Hope you are doing good? I wanted to let you know that I’m trying to start blogging again. We’ve done some rearranging and I’m actually going to get an entire room to craft in. I will be showing progress pictures as soon as we start. We are shuffling things around the house and everything else has to be in place before we start on that space. It makes it easier when you have a designated area and can see all of your stuff.
Really love the layout of this card!!! Perfection.
LOL…amazing the trouble we can get into without even trying when we craft! I can so relate to your near goof. It DOES happen! Adorable card! I just got that set and I love it. Just totally cute. Great layout….I may have to CASE your CASE….that’s how it rolls!! Fun post.
Love the card Jackie!
