We had our first stamp club meeting of the new year on Thursday. I hope I didn’t scare the new gals away with our project, as it was a bit challenging. Not so much the stamping, but rather in the identifying of ALL of the colors of Stampin’ Up! card stock. You’ll see what I mean when you see the inside – I had to punch out 54 different colored flowers, and unfortunately for the girls, they were all put into one little baggie for each of them! But they perservered!
I purchased this adorable Inventory Wallet tutorial from my fellow demo in Canada - CeeCee. Man, this girl puts together top notch tutorials! I was so amazed at the precise directions and execution of the project! I wholeheartedly recommend checking out what she has to offer.
Anyway, this is the one I made for myself, and then I made the ones for the others who weren’t able to attend, as I felt this is a tool that they will need as they amass all of their supplies throughout the coming year. I did change up the closure a bit. I attached a length of hemp twine about 1 1/2″ to the spine and covered it with the Chocolate Chip spine cover. It hangs in the back and comes around to the front, where you wrap it around the circle/brad. I have no idea what to call it, but you get the idea.
I used the Trendy Trees stamp set on the cover, but forgot to compensate for the spine cover, so my poor cute tree is partially covered. (I used the word “cover” 3 times in that last sentence…sheesh!). Oh well. I made sure to warn everyone so they didn’t do the same thing.
The 2nd one shown is one I stamped for Rose, who couldn’t make it (Hi Rose! – do you like your cover?)
Finally, we made this adorable snowman card, which I CASEd exactly (except for the buttons – mine are punched, hers were black brads) from fellow demo Lynn Wegleitner, which was a Convention Swap I saw on someones blog. It’s just adorable, isn’t it? I think everyone liked this one. You’ll have to excuse the poor photo – I had a heck of a time showing off the cute sparkle on the tops of the snow hills.
Thanks for stopping by today – I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

What a great project. I would like to make something similar for myself. You must have gone batty punching all those blossoms out.
I love that you did a bit of a goof on the first one, it makes me feel better when I goof (an I do that regularily)
I don’t think the garage sale would have been so bad, but it was sandwiched between the only 2 days I work and some poor nights of sleep die to nightmares from the youngest! I made a good amount of money, so that was worth it.
Jackie,
Great job on the Inventory Wallet and the nice compliments. That is so sweet of you. We’re glad you enjoyed the product!
CeeCee (and Gen)
Thats so great! I’m so mad I missed it!
Jackie,I need to bring you one of my owl door decorations as a gift. They are so super cute and I know you would love it! Do you have any colors you really like?
Thanks for sharing both these fun projects Jackie. I think I’ve got the inventory folder figured out so I’ll have to give it a try it’s very close to something I came up with awhile ago for a similar purpose. Have to admit though that the flower punch pieces never occurred to me. I had added a column and used a tiny stamp to show the color using ink. I really like your revision of the fastener. Seems more practical somehow. Good of you to share the link to the tutorial too for those who want the printouts as well as the directions! Pretty cool too that they also offer punch kits too to save a bit of a workout!
Hugs and blessings – Jean
