Can you believe I waited so long to get this beautiful paper? I crack myself up. I have so much paper it’s not even funny! Ok, I needed a quick birthday card for a friend so used the layout as on this card. I find the layout takes me the longest, so when I find one I like, I go back to it. I also used Lisa’s great tutorial on getting rid of grey in your photos. I love it! I also played around with the colors, trying to get the Kiwi Kiss just right. It’s as close as I could get, folks.
I used one of the new Hostess Level 3 stamp sets for the sentiment – I just love it. And remember the Yummy stamp set? I got 2 and cut up a couple of them so that I could use the flourish (and the one with the frame) separately. I just cut out the sentiment on/in them. I also used the Define Your Life stamp with the “wishes” definition on the bird. Thanks for stopping by today!

That is a great layout Karen and a gorgeous card…the paper rocks and so does the little stamped bird. Great stuff:-)
Oh my gosh. I just busted out this paper too….heh. I just discovered I had a whole drawer of unopened DSP, like 10 packs. I’ve got to quit doing this. Buy the paper and use it. Heh. But you know I think part of the joy of papercrafting is buying the stuff. Great card, I love blues and greens together.
How gorgeous! I had a good laugh reading your blog entry. I do have a lot of paper too and it kills me to cut into a fresh 12 X 12 unless I am making a gazillion of cards with them. hehehe, I guess we all share the same disease!

Yup, I do the same thing as you and the comments above–it must come with the stamping “syndrome”… I just took advantage of the SU special and now have 4 sets of dsp that will probably take a long time to use!
Love that card. I really want the bird die. You have used it so well.
I love your little bird, swirls, and pretty papers/colors!! Beautiful card, Jackie!!
I love the yummy swirl underneath that bird! I’ve seen you make so many cute cards with that bird that you were my inspiration for ordering the Birds & Blooms dies. Those colors are my fave…I’m so going to miss Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze soooooo much.
Love the colors! Your little bird….I was looking at it and thinking – why does it look so familiar every time? Its like the same bird in the DOVE commercials! I have this die too….its still in the plastic.
Jackie,
I just love this card and the creative way you stamped the definition on the bird – now why didn’t I think of that? So pretty! I’m liking the paper even if you are just getting around to using it, LOL.
