Stamp Club projects for March

  We made this Easter box, which was so simple.  I found the idea here.  Here is Sandi’s template for the head.  And here is the template for the box, which is a Stampin’ Up! template.  I used the Sale-a-Bration DSP, Delicate Dots, matted with Bashful blue card stock.  I had forgotten the blue gingham ribbon is retired.  Oh well.  The whiskers were done by cutting slim strips of WW card stock and gluing them behind the nose.  The tag is from All Holidays.  Click each for larger views.

Here’s the card we made.  I knew I wanted to use that chick from A Good Egg stamp set as a pop-up inside, but didn’t know what to do for the front of the card.  Then I found a card on splitcoast that was very similar, only they used the egg stamp in the set to make the eggs, which were much larger.   I cut the basket, using the Basket & Blooms Bigz die, but only used 1/2 of the basket.  I cut off the perforated piece and used dimentionals around the sides and bottom to give it dimention, cut out “eggs” in the Delicate Dots DSP with my wide oval punch, and glued them inside.  I sponged lightly around the edges of the basket.

For the inside, I taught my girls how to make a pop-up card using the Word Window punch.  I have a photo tutorial on this post.  I used my aquapainter and re-inker to color the chick, and added a strip of flowers down the side in Sahara Sand, the same color as the card stock.  I don’t know what it is, but I cannot get this color to look true!  It looks grey in my photos.  It is rather annoying!
