You asked for it…

purse-card-invitations2…so here are the details for the purse-shaped invitations and purse-shaped boxes I hinted at on this post.  I was in charge of an event for the ladies at church.  The theme was centered around purses so I made 80 invitations in a purse shape.  Here are a few of them.  I didn’t have a pattern, so I had to make up one on my own.  Click here for the template:  purse-card-template1

After I cut it out, I used a Stampin’ Up! jumbo wheel for a quick and easy all-over print.  Then I scored and folded over the flap.  I punched out a flower, glued it onto the flap, then added more glue to the bottom of the flower and let it dry.  The 2-way glue pen is perfect for this step because it is permanent when attached while wet and temporary when allowed to dry.  The card can be opened and closed repeatedly!

purse-card-invitations-inside2aI printed the invitations directly onto the white card stock first, and then cut them out.  You could put ribbon or something for a handle, but since I was passing them out at church and some would be mailed, I opted not to do this.  They were a big hit as is!  Here is the inside, although it’s a terrible picture, you get the idea.

For those of you who asked, I thank you for your interest and for being so patient!
