This month in stamp club we learned a new technique – Watercolor Wash.  I just love the look of watercolor and like to use several methods to achieve it.  This one is different in that you are watercoloring a background, rather than an image.  I saw this card and knew one day I wanted to [...]

It’s been a long time…

…since I created something for my blog!  Sorry about that.  I’ve been super busy with a church project I’m in charge of and finally finished making 80 invitations, in a purse shape that opens up to reveal the invitation, to pass out at church tomorrow.  I also am in the middle of making 48 purse-shaped [...]

I can’t believe this is the first time for me to break out this beautiful specialty paper, called Parisian Breeze!  It’s a nice, thicker card stock weight paper.  For the sentiment, I inked up just the “BEST wishes” part of the stamp from the Cute & Curly stamp set with a Chocolate Chip marker and [...]

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe that plane that went down 2 hours ago is less than a mile from my home.  My across-the-street-neighbor, Tony was on the news with his photographs of the flames and his eyewitness account.  My heart goes out to all those on the plane, and to those on the ground, [...]

Honored with an award

I was awarded this pretty award, designed by Marianne (from I Like Markers), by Rose Ann today.  What a sweetheart!  I can tell you that she is probably the most generous with her comments of any blogger out there!  I know she is for me, and many of you, too.  You’d think I was paying her!  If [...]

A really old butterfly

For this card I used my new Beautiful Butterflies Sizzix die and made the largest butterfly from a page of a very old book, by Rudyard Kipling from 1941.  I paired it with the Delicate Dots paper, which is one of the Sale-a-Bration choices.  I love this paper!  You get more sheets than a regular paper [...]

After putting this one all together, I realized the sentiment didn’t really indicate such a “little note”, LOL!  I used lots of new on this card, which measures 5″ x 5″.  The new items are: So Tweet chipboard, Sizzlits Little Leaves (exclusive to SU!), Button Latte, and Note of Thanks stamp.
I used the coluzzle for [...]

Rescued from the trash

My final project was similar to this, but in the process, you know how you sometimes end up with “duds” because it wasn’t the the right look?  Well, the white piece with the stamping was glaring at me from the circular file and I decided it was worth using after all.  I wish I could figure [...]

owls & cupcakes

Well, I have a friend who’s having a birthday this week so I got out my Hand Drawn bundle to make her a card.  It’s the perfect kit for birthdays!  I wish SU! had made this little owl into a stamp!  This is a rub-on and I only have the Chocolate Chip color left!  Oh [...]
