And so this card is for him and his awesome wife, too. I needed a “thank you” card for them and since he’s a big nature lover, I chose to use this set, “Owl Together Now”. I used the “thank” from the Thank You Kindly stamp set and the “whoo” from the Owl Together Now set, and used my marker (and Stamp-a-majig) to get the sentiment I wanted. I colored the owl with Prismacolor pencils. I used a scrap of my favorite DSP, Windsor Knot, which is retiring…sniff, sniff.
It was my first time to use my Nestabilities and I wish I had either put 2 owls on the branch, and made the branch longer, or something. I just think there’s too much white space there. And I used the Sizzix silicone rubber mat & impression pad to emboss (around the outside of the white rectangle), but don’t think it is a very good impression. I know some directions say to use the 2 tan mats from Spellbinders. Does anyone happen to know if it makes a better embossed impression? I’d appreciate any advice in this area…I’m such a “newb”, as my son would say!

This is adorable, great guy card
This is really cute, Jackie…and I don’t think it has too much white space at all!
For embossing with my Nestabilities, I used the Multi-Purpose platform (both tabs off) and with the tan mats.
Great Card Jackie!
Oh what a cute card! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
