I intended to do these 5 projects for a class, but it didn’t go over very well, mostly because I think I was not prepared soon enough. So, I think they’ll end up being gifts of some kind. If you click on the photo, you will see it in more detail. I was unable to get a great shot of all these projects at one time, so the I apologize for that.
The witch’s broom was so easy to make. You have to find those very small craft sacks (I found mine at Michael’s) and cut strips all the way down to the bottom. It’s easiest to do if you cut while it’s closed. I filled mine with candy corn in a small cello bag, found a stick and stuck it in the middle and wrapped black ribbon around it. I made the tag just like on page 29 of the Fall-Winter Catalog.
Stamps: none; Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie card stock, Ghostly Greetings DSP; Ink: none; Accessories: coluzzle, Chills & Thrills run-ons, eyelet, Crop-a-dile, 1/4″ black grosgrain ribbon, hemp twine, small cello bag, small craft sack, paper shredding, stick
The little buckets I found at Target at 2/$1. I covered it with Ghostly Greetings paper, embellished with Chills & Thrills rub-ons, etc. It’s too bad that you can’t see it well, but there are white spider web rub-ons on both sides of the pumpkin image – the only time spider webs can be considered “cute”! I used my Crop-a-dile to make a hole right in the side of the bucket and added some Basic Gray tafetta ribbon.
Stamps: Eat, Drink, & Be Scary; Paper: Whisper White card stock, Ghostly Greetings DSP; Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, & Kiwi Kiss; Accessories: small bucket, Basic Gray tafetta ribbon, Crop-a-dile, sticky strip, coluzzle
I used the Basket & Blooms Bigz die to make the little basket from the Ghostly Greetings paper, tied some Kiwi Kiss ribbon on and the tag was also from the same paper and die, just the opposite side of the paper. I used rub-ons on it as well. No stamping! I used my crimper on some Kiwi Kiss card stock and then cut tiny strips of it for the filling.
Stamps: none; Paper: Ghostly Greetings DSP, Kiwi Kiss; Ink: none; Accessories: Kiwi Kiss 5/8″ striped grosgrain ribbon, silver cording, Basket & Blooms Bigz Die, Chills & Thrills rub-ons, paper crimper
The Flip Book I made from a half pack of post-it-notes and Ghostly Greetings paper. I stamped the spider from Eat, Drink, & Be Scary on each page, starting at the top of the page and slowly moving the image down each time I stamped so that by the end of the book the spider and his message is all the way down at the bottom. When you flip through the pages, it looks as if the spider is moving!
Stamps: Batty for You, Eat, Drink, & Be Scary; Paper: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango (I should have used Pumpkin Pie – oh well, & Whisper White card stock, Ghostly Greetings DSP; Ink: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss (to color eyes); Accessories: Scallop circle punch, 1 1/4″ & 1 3/8″ circle punches, 1/4″ black grosgrain ribbon, post-it note, sticky strip, blender pen
And lastly, the candy bar wrapper I made by covering a Reese’s candy bar with Ghostly Greetings paper, taping the ends and using the crimper on each end. Then I embellished it with a black card stock band around the middle and used the rub-ons again and the hat from the Eat, Drink, & Be Scary stamp set. The hat has a black 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon tied around it. I made the broom with a toothpick and more of that craft sack I used earlier. I just cut up tiny strips of it and tied it around the toothpick with some linen thread! I think it came out quite cute! Thanks for stopping by today!
