First of all, let me say that I’m so frustrated because for some reason this post is not enlarging the photo when you click on it! And this is one that would be nice to see closer up. I have no idea why it’s doing this as I didn’t have any trouble yesterday. I am sorry I don’t know more about what I’m doing so that I could fix it. I guess it will just have to do.
I’ve been wanting to make this 3-D flower ever since I found it on Cindy’s blog! Isn’t it great? Check out how to make it here. I used the Afternoon Tea DS paper, since it’s so lucious, and made it on a 3″ x 6″ card. You won’t want to mail something like this, but since I made it for a special friend who lives locally, I don’t need to.
I watercolored the vase using Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip Watercolor Wonder crayons and a blender pen. I used the stem from the rose in the Embrace Life stamp set to make my stem here, since there is no Wild Wasabi marker to just free-hand it. (I still wish they made those in-colors in markers and Watercolor Wonder crayons!). It’s not easy to tell, but the brads are the green ones from the Ice Rhinestone brad collection. The 3-D flower is done using the opposite side of the textured brown sheet in the Afternoon Tea papers (It’s a Groovy Guava / Chocolate Chip small print), using one of the flowers in the Boho Blossom punch. I used 5 flowers to create this flower. Be sure to check out Cindy’s blog to learn how to make your own very cool flowers!
